Saudi Billionaire Buys Mayfair Apartment for Daughter to Study
August 2020
One of the Middle East’s wealthiest businessmen has purchased a luxury apartment in Central London at the cost of £18.6m for his daughter to use while she studies in the Capital.
Once the Onassis residence, this 5,000 sq.ft first-floor apartment comes with five bedrooms, a 60ft balcony, a library, three grand reception rooms, and a south-facing terrace overlooking Grosvenor Square in the heart of Mayfair.
Anthony Martin, CEO of Anthony Martin Estate Agents comments: “Although at £18.6 million, this is seen as an extravagant and over the top purchase for a Father to make for a daughter spending just 4 years studying in London for many, for estate agents such as Anthony Martin, it’s a very positive sign to confirm that the World’s high net-worths still see London as a suitable location to invest despite the turbulence seen from COVID-19 and Brexit.
In recent months there has been lots of speculation over a property slump, especially in the Prime Central London market so we are delighted to see that this is not the case.”
