Anthony Martin now has ten branches but plans to go into the Home Counties and beyond steered by former Chestertons senior Derrick Maguire.

An independent estate agency in Kent has launched its first three fully franchised offices as it makes it first move towards a national presence.

Ten-branch firm Anthony Martin started out a few years ago with a licensing model but has now recruited former Chestertons international senior and Luxfair CEO Derrick Maguire (pictured) to oversee its fully-fledged franchised offering.

The three new franchised branches are in Swanscombe, Meopham and New Ash Green, and Sutton at Hone each operated by – in order – Lee IngramMark Jury and both Holly Siegenberg and Amanda Symonds at Hone (main picture).

All have substantial estate agency backgrounds at leading agencies including Robinson and Jackson, Hunters, Haart and Livermores.

“It has been a busy time at Anthony Martin Franchising launching these offices and watching them grow already,” says Maguire.

“Support and training is the key and this is what we offer to all that join us on the estate agency journey.”

Anthony Martin charges new franchisees a £15,000 one-off fee, a five-year minimum contract, 12% of monthly turnover part of which pays for local and national marketing and their branch fit-out.

“These are true franchises in the Belvoir/TPFG sense rather than the more ‘licensing model’ we adopted originally,” says Maguire.

He tells The Neg that his ambitious plans for the business include moving outside Kent into the Home Counties and ‘then North’.

“I am Northern Irish by birth and had worked in Scotland so both these countries are on the radar,” he adds.

“Also, we have plans to go International due to my contacts abroad, having worked overseas for 8 years.”
