Nationwide has introduced a promising update to its Helping Hand mortgage scheme, which now offers up to 95 percent mortgages on new-build homes. First-time buyers can also benefit from borrowing up to six times their income, and for the first time, new-build flats are included with lending available up to 85 percent of the property’s value. On top of that, mortgage offers will now stay valid for up to nine months, giving buyers more time and peace of mind.
